there!, Hello

World Horror Con 2006 (part 2)

I woke up at 9:00 pacific time, performed the morning rituals and went in search of food. Bought a double order of sausages and a cuppatea, then wandered the dealer room.

I met the editors of New Genre magazine (one of which is from Worcester!) and chatted about the state of horror. I picked up a couple of issues and decided I would sub to them by the end of June. They gave suggested I use my cover letter to remind them about our chatting, and to include my tech background on any stories that involve said tech info. Good stuff.

I went out for a bite to eat with Jim Chambers, and we discussed comics, fiction, etc. Then, I went to the mass signing, got some signatures and met a fellow writer in the Twisted Cat Tales anthology. I camped out in my room for a bit. Picked up the comic I'd bought the day before and started reading it. And kept going. Supernatural Law is quite good.

Borderlands Books PartyCollapse )

I slept until about 9:30. Woke up naturally, and began the longest day of my trip.
