there!, Hello

Shakespeare and Tango

So, last week the Deep End took in a presentation of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. It was performed by WPI students and it was a lot of fun. I was especially taken with Don John's ability to radiate vileness. :) And of course, the fact that my friend Haz was playing Beatrice in no way biased my enjoyment of that performance. Nope, not at all. Yeah, right.

Friday night, we took it down to the bayou by going to a Buckwheat Zydaco. Swamp-boogie, Creole party music. I danced until my feet hurt, took a break, and then danced some more. Buckwheat is a fantastic entertainer. I wasn't familiar with him before this show, but now I'm a believer. Especially memorable number: the cover of Hank Williams' "Hey Good Looking".

Last night, the household went out and had a lesson in Aregentinian Tango. I started out feeling pretty foolish, but I caught the moves before the night was done. Trista and I are looking into taking the Tango Bootcamp, next month. Schweet!
